September 2025 updates - Improvements for Chats, task number visibility and more

New Features & Enhancements 🚀

✅ Added improvements for Chats.

• Chat UI/UX improved.

• Real-time chat updates supported.

• The unread messages will be highlighted.

✅ The List and Board views are now in different tabs, making it easier to switch between them.

✅ Added performance enhancements for the dashboard.

✅ Tasks in the list view now display tags. You can also control whether task numbers (e.g., #123) are shown in the list and board views from the project settings.

✅ Made two key changes to how emails are sent: Editing a comment no longer sends a new email notification. Instead of sending an individual email for every reaction, all reactions are now combined and sent in a single email every 12 hours.

✅ The chat functionality code refactored for smoother performance and made some minor improvements.

✅ The activities tab now clearly shows when activities are transferred between projects. An activity is now also created when a task moves to a new section or project.

✅ The checklist item creation UX has been redesigned to make adding items faster.

✅ Added taxonomy for Tasks.

Bug Fixes 🐛

✅ Fixed the casing of tags in tasks and activities.

✅ Resolved the bug that prevented sharing attachments without a text message on the Message Board.

✅ Fixed incorrect entries received in daily summary email.

✅ Fixed pagination on message board and docs.

✅ Fixed an issue with file attachments in Chat messages.

✅ Fixed incorrect column heading in the Sample CSV file.

✅ Fixed incorrect mentions in the activity that was created when comments were deleted.

✅ Fixed issue in the sidebar where expand/collapse on the Projects menu took the user to the dashboard.

✅ Duplicate reactions by the same person are now removed in the email.

✅ Corrected activities for assignments created by automation rules.

✅ Fixed a bug that prevented some users from making changes to the templates.

✅ Fixed the count in activities where the direct message activities were not counted.

✅ Fixed a bug that sent email notifications to the task creator when a task was moved to a project they weren't part of.

✅ The default profile picture URL in the daily summary email has been fixed.

✅ The first project activity is now correctly marked as read for all users in that project.

✅ The assignee filter now correctly shows only tasks that are assigned to a user, not tasks they created.
